Dear Muslim brothers, sisters, and beloved children who joined the Eid party—Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah (Jalla Shanuhu), and heartfelt thanks to the organizers and everyone who helped make the Eid Celebration Party in Isle of Man 2025 such a beautiful and memorable event.

There’s something truly special about celebrating Eid in a small, close-knit place like the Isle of Man. It’s not the grand mosques or crowded streets that define our joy here—it’s the love, unity, and warmth of our community that makes Eid so meaningful and unforgettable.

This year, Eid al-Adha 2025 was no exception.

🌙 A Peaceful Morning Begins

The morning of Eid in Douglas starts quietly. The sea breeze carries a gentle calm, and across the island, families begin their day with early prayers, heartfelt hugs, and that feeling only Eid brings—peace, gratitude, and excitement.

For many, the day begins with the Eid prayer, held at the Islamic Center Isle of Man. There, you’ll find families dressed in their finest, children in shiny new outfits, and friends greeting each other with smiles that reach the eyes. The khutbah (sermon) reminds us of sacrifice, community, and mercy—universal values we all carry, no matter how small the Muslim population may be here.

🕌 A Growing Community with Big Heart

Though the Muslim community on the island may not be large, it’s incredibly diverse—families and individuals from Malaysia, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, the UK, and beyond.

And when Eid comes around, that diversity blossoms into a beautiful mosaic of food, culture, and shared joy.

🍽️ The Eid Party – Food, Fun & Fellowship

This year, after Eid al-Adha, the Islamic Center Isle of Man organized a warm and welcoming Eid party for the community. The venue? A lovely space tucked behind Nobles Hospital, at the Roundhouse, next to the Palatine Group Practice.

✨ Date: Sunday, 6th April 2025
🍛 Time: Buffet Lunch at 1 PM
🎟️ Price: £25 for adults (12+), £12 for children aged 6–12, and free for kids under 6

Despite the April chill, the atmosphere was full of warmth. From the moment you walked in, you were greeted by the smell of delicious dishes, cheerful chatter, and the sparkle of Eid outfits.

There was something for everyone—from spicy biryanis and creamy curries to kid-friendly snacks and decadent desserts. Children ran around joyfully while parents caught up over plates of food and chai, forming new friendships and strengthening old ones.

🧕 What Makes Eid in Isle of Man Unique?

Eid here feels intimate and meaningful. It’s not just about the prayers or the food—it’s about knowing that even on this small island, thousands of miles from where many of us were born, we still carry our faith and traditions with pride.

What really stood out this year was the effort by volunteers to make the celebration inclusive and memorable. From setting up the venue to preparing the buffet and organizing kids’ activities, the day was a testament to the dedication of the community.

🎁 Eid Traditions and Togetherness

As always, Eid was a time to exchange gifts, share food, and dress our best. Many parents gave Eidi (gift money) to their children, while others exchanged sweets and thoughtful gifts.

Some families celebrated quietly at home after the community lunch, while others continued the day with walks by the sea, visits to friends, or cozy movie nights. There’s no single way to celebrate Eid here—just shared joy in different forms.

💬 Final Thoughts

Celebrating Eid in the Isle of Man might look different than in larger cities, but that’s what makes it so special. It’s a celebration of unity, identity, and the beauty of carrying faith wherever you go.

If you’ve ever wondered what Eid feels like on this charming little island, know this: it may be small in size, but it’s big in heart.
